Martin and Shirlee Luther started "Luther's Jerky" in 1980s.  They created their own recipe and shipped the product all over the world.

It became KNOWN ACROSS THE COUNTRY

for its legendary quality and taste.

In 2000, Martin retired from the day-to-day job, but he didn't stop his great work there.

Overtime, Martin Luther's jerky continued to grow and his business became nationally known for it's awesome products. 

Martin continued to play pool on a weekly basis both when he made his own meat and after he retired.  He also continued to guide business entrepreneurs whenever he got a chance.  Even in the season of relaxation, Martin never lost sight of his passion and first love: to make quality meats that people love.

Throughout the years, Martin and Shirlee Luther worked in collaboration with Mike and Amber Jewell to provide quality services in different ways outside the jerky plant.  One of those ways was by supporting Amber's therapy clinic, "Finding Hope" that served the community starting in 2020.  They also utilizing Mike's handy-man skills as an electrician and repair man.   This business connection and building collaboration also supported Martin's plan to continue supporting people interested in the meat industry. 

In 2025, the Jewell's love of helping the community through many channels collided with Martin's hands-on excellence in supporting great products...thus, LeRoy Jerky arose.  It became a business that carries and creates quality products (such as his famous jerky!) alongside quality living and learning.
